Tentative Deal

The union representing Nova Scotia’s nine-thousand public school teachers has reached a tentative agreement with the province.

The announcement came late Friday.

The Nova Scotia Teachers Union says the tentative deal means its members will suspend a work-to-rule job action that started in early December.

Union president Liette Doucette says union executives are recommending the teachers ratify the deal in a vote scheduled for February 8th.
