The Campbellton Salmon Festival is commissioning a new theme song for this year’s 50th anniversary. It has to be upbeat, under three minutes long and can be in English, French or both and put on a CD. Submissions are being taken until May 26th, with the winner getting free tickets for the festival.

Bathurst store uncertainty
The future of the Spinning Wheel Yarn Shop in Bathurst is in doubt.
66 year old owner Beth Sullivan says she and her husband plan on retiring, and the shop could close on June 1st; if a buyer can’t be found.
Sullivan added that if a buyer does step forth, she’ll think about keeping the shop open until September, the busy season.
