A young and starving bobcat that was rescued from a field in west end Truro is being cared for at the Shubenacadie Wildlife Park.
The bobcat, about a year old; was rescued after wildlife officers were called about an animal in distress that was lying in the field on West Prince Street.
Frank Allen, a volunteer with the Holy Family Parish; has been honoured by the Amherst Rotary Club.
Allen got the club’s Paul Harris Community Fellowship Award, to recognize his contribution to the community.
A Springhill native, Allen graduated from Saint Mary’s University with a bachelor of arts; and worked in Truro as a social worker.
