Trider’s Craft Beer of Amherst recently took the Golden Mallard award at the second annual event at the Halifax Seaport Farmers Market.
Competitors had to set up their favourite cottage setting.
Trider’s came up with a booth that represented maple beer.
Trider’s Craft Beer is at 46 Anson Avenue.
This Friday, International Women’s Day will be celebrated at the Amherst Lions Community Centre.
A luncheon will take place from noon til 1:30.
It will feature chili, soup and cake; raffle tickets, door prizes; and a 50/50 draw.
Admission is free, but a donation to Autumn House will be appreciated.
