New roads, along with water; sewer, and storm pipes; are planned for Springhill.

The Downtown Infrastructure Renewal Project will address aged infrastructure which leads to water main breaks, so the pipes will be replaced first; and then the roads will get a new paving job.

Work is planned on Church, Victoria; Elm, Pioneer; Mechanic, Chapel; and Pleasant Streets.

It’s sign-up time in Amherst for the Cost-Share CSA Local Food Box Program.

That provides a weekly seasonal fresh veggie box to over 20 Cumberland County families.

It’s partially subsidized by the Cumberland Food Action Network and Ecology Action Centre, and the other half of the 20 dollar box is paid by the subscribing family.
