Contraband has been seized at Springhill Institution. It included 37 grams of marijuana, and packages on both last Wednesday and Thursday. The total estimated value of the seizure is $3700.

RCMP Constable Travise Dowe was at the recent MADD Road Rally at the Amherst Lions Club.
He displayed a roadside screener for drugs, adding that seven kinds of drugs will be screened with that on the side of the road.
A 2016 study by the Canadian Safety Council showed that 24 per cent of drivers who crashed on Canadian highways had high levels of THC in their system, due to smoking pot.
