A Housing Nova Scotia program is coming back to Amherst this summer.

The Neighbourhood Spruce Up program offers grants to fix the outside of your home and covers items like new windows.

The program’s application deadline has been extended to July 31st due to the provincial election campaign.

Hastings Road in Warren has some nasty potholes and people are getting fed up.

Greg Smith told the Citizen-Record a pothole recently claimed a tire on his vehicle.

He and other people want the province to fix the road that has caused so much damage.
