Two grown women are facing charges which include assault causing bodily harm following an incident on Wednesday night at 6:30.

Police got calls about a ruckus on Victoria Street by the Cenotaph and that three women appeared to be fighting.

Two women, aged 25 and 51 were arrested.

The victim was taken to hospital and later released.

Cleanup and repairs continue at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre due to a flood last Sunday.

This means surgical cases have been postponed and will be rebooked as soon as possible.

The emergency department and other services remain open, and scheduled appointments and procedures in all other areas are proceeding as usual.
