The Parrsboro Regional Elementary School celebrated a quarter-century of Jump Rope for Heart.
The school raised just over 43 hundred dollars this year for the heart and stroke foundation through the Jump Rope for Heart program, adding to more than 80 thousand raised since 1992.
The Celtic roots musical group “The Rollickers” will be playing in Springhill Monday June 19th in support of the Salvation Army and their food bank work.
Right now they’re up to 60 to 80 families a month that use the food bank.
The Rollickers will do two 50-minute sets on June 19th, starting at 7 p.m. at Legion Branch Number 17 on Elgin Street.
