19 year old Will Gogan, an Amherst hockey player; has a shot at playing for the Jamaican Under-20 national hockey team.
The team is made up mostly of Canadians whose parents are of Jamaican descent.
His mother was born in Jamaica.

Rachel Wilson and Alex Campbell were recently honoured as the top senior athletes at the Pugwash District High School.
Cameron Lynds got the nod as the junior male athlete of the year, and Taylor Peterson got the award for top junior female athlete.
