A lot of people have been heading to the beaches because of the hot weather. The water is warmer than usual for this time of the year…but that means you have to be watchful about where you wade and swim.
A Portugese Man O’War was found on Crystal Crescent Beach near Sambro. They are usually found in tropical waters but have been known to show up around here once in awhile. The Man O’War looks like a jellyfish but is full of stinging tentacles which can cause a lot of pain…and even death in people who might be allergic.
