A young golfer who got his start in South Western Nova Scotia is near the top of the leaderboard at one of the game’s most prestigious events. 20-year-old Austin Connelly is now five under par after three rounds at the British Open – sitting tied for third place overall. Connelly, who was born in Texas, first learned to play the game at the Clare Golf and Country Club in Church Point, Nova Scotia while visiting his grandparents as a young boy.
