CB Cancer Centre Centre to Study Patients with Reduced Incomes

The Nova Scotia Health Authority is looking for patients who received sick benefits through employment insurance after being diagnosed with cancer. The health authority’s Cape Breton Cancer Centre social work team is trying to better understand the experiences of cancer patients living on a reduced income. The focus of the confidential study will be on people whose employment insurance sick benefits have run out. The study will not include cancer patients who receive long-term disability through private insurance or other benefits
