Dead whale in the Gulf of St. Lawrence

Another dead North Atlantic right whale has been found in the Gulf of St. Lawrence.

The DFO also said that another whale had been spotted, entangled in fishing gear east of the New Brunswick shoreline, but alive.

Due to the danger of entanglement in fishing gear, snow crab fishing has been halted in the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
