Young woman pleads guilty in stabbing of other woman

A woman will be back in court for sentencing in October after pleading guilty to stabbing another woman.

23 year old Mariah Perley admitted to storming into a home and stabbing her ex-boyfriend’s new girlfrience last July. She swung a hammer at the man as she stormed past him at the door and into a bedroom where she stabbed the woman.

Her lawyer has asked for a Gladue report, since Perley has an aboriginal background, before she is sentenced October 25th. In the meantime, she remains under house arrest at her home in Fredericton.
