The Greater Saint John Field House project has more money. Ottawa and the province have committed just over $6 million each for the massive project at Exhibition Park. The City has also committed $4.2 million over three years.
The field house will feature two indoor turf fields, a 200-metre indoor track, possibly two rinks and other facilities. Construction is expected to start late this year on McAllister Drive and be open in the fall of 2019.
