The protected area around the Musquash estuary is being expanded.
The Nature Conservancy of Canada has added four properties covering almost 400 hectares which will be preserved. They include mature mixed forest, fresh and salt water marshes, small lakes, bogs and coastal barrens which are home to all sorts of wildlife.
