Wayward whale still in trouble

It’s not clear what’s happening with a young Beluga whale flown from the Nepisiquit River to the St. Lawrence off Quebec and whether he’s able to eat or has joined other belugas.

The Group for Research and Education on Marine Mammals says the next few days will be critical. Satellite tracking suggests the young whale is spending a lot of time near the surface and may not be strong enough to swim against the strong currents there.
