HRM Auditor General Evangeline Colman-Sadd says there are positive aspects to the municipality’s contract management, and opportunities for improvement. Her first report looked at Finance, Information, Communication, and Technology; Operations Support; Parks and Recreation; and Transportation and Public Works. She says while staff ensured work was done before paying, there needs to be better evaluating of how contractors are doing. All 5 recommendations have been accepted.
