Over $2 million in provincial and federal funding has been announced for a new local affordable housing complex. Along with 15 units, the YW Jean E.S. Irving Centre for Women and Children will provide a variety of programs and services. It’s also benefiting from a fundraising campaign called TransitionElle, which collected hundreds of thousands of dollars from private donors.
