The Dartmouth Sportsplex will close this week as the recreation complex undergoes a major face-lift. The facility will remain closed for the next 18 months with only the arena reopening this fall. The renovation project on the 35-year-old facility is expected to cost around 24-million-dollars. The refurbishment will include a new gymnasium, two basketball courts, an upgraded swimming pool, new dance studio and a new fitness centre. The sports complex is scheduled to reopen in September of 2018
