The Nova Scotia Court of Appeal will take on the Bassam Al-Rawi case in November. The Halifax cab driver was found not guilty in March of sexually assaulting a passenger two years ago. The Crown said it would appeal shortly after Judge Gregory Lenehan infamously said “Clearly, a drunk can consent” in delivering his verdict.
