A new poll says people in Halifax want to see speed limits on residential streets decreased by 10 kilometres.
Six in 10 residents in the Halifax area say they support a reduction to 40 kilometres an hour, while four in 10 oppose it.
City councillors recently voted in favour of asking the provincial government to lower the speed limits to 40 kilometres an hour.
