The old Memorial Gardens site on Arran Street is having its soil tested.
If it passes, it could be a possible location for the new K to 8 anglophone school.
As of the moment, there has not been a site specifically selected for the new school, which will have students from three different schools; the Campbellton Middle School, Lord Beaverbrook School and the Tide Head School.
Those three will then be closed.
