SIRT is investigating the actions of a Halifax police officer during an arrest.
A person complained that cellphone video he took of the arrest of his friend for public intoxication late last month was erased by an officer. The complainant was also arrested for public intoxication. He says when he was released the next day the video had been erased.
SIRT is investigating because it deemed it in the public interest
