The first degree murder trial of Jimmy Melvin Junior got underway in Halifax yesterday.
Derek Thomas Macphee, who is in witness protection, sobbed on the stand as he told of driving Melvin to a home where Terry Marriott Junior was sleeping. MacPhee testified he heard two quick shots followed by three slower ones.
The Crown attrorney, in her opening statements, said Melvin had a beef with Marriott who was shot several times in the head and body.
