RCMP trial continues

The RCMP trial on Labour Code charges resumed yesterday in Moncton with a criminologist on the stand.

Darryl Davies submitted a report to the RCMP in 2010 saying their current firearms were archaic and outdated. Davies said there was an immediate need for all officers to be armed with patrol carbines. He testified you can’t walways wait for the Emergency Response Team to show up with heavier weapons and recommended carbines for all uniformed officers.

However Davies says, after he submitted his report in 2010, he never heard back from the RCMP even after sending emails and phone calls which went unanswered. That astounded him.
