There have been some loud booms on the northside because of construction on the Maritime Link.
Crews are blasting to allow installation of a new transmission line that will meet the Maritime Link where it comes ashore in Point Aconi, according to the CBC.
Emera has been contacting people living within a 3 kilometre radius of the blasting to let them know it’s just part of the construction. They’re about 80% complete on that phase.
