Lengthy prison term for drug trafficker

A Saint John drug trafficker has been sentenced to 11 years in prison.

A jury found Anthony Joseph Edison guilty in February on trafficking and conpiracy charges. He was arrested as part of Operation J-Tornado in 2014.

Justice Thomas Christie repeatedly made references to character references about him in his sentencing decision but said no one professing to love hisĀ  family and community so much would go out and wantonly place them all at risk for the sake of trafficking drugs.
