The city will be hiring an outside consultant to review water and sewer rates. More than 17,000 customers of Saint John Water could be affected, according to the Telegraph-Journal.
The utility wants tp update its rate structure to make sure the cost of service delivery is covered as well as major capital upgrades which are currently underway.
The last such study was in 2008.
