Government funding to help immigrants find jobs

A Moncton company is getting half a million dollars from the Gallant Government to help new immigrants find jobs.

Atlantic Human Services will receive the funding over two years so it can expand and provide employment plans and counselling to newcomers. The company currently has 200 immigrants on its books and says the demand has been increasing steadily since the Syrian refugees began arriving. It has three counsellors in its Moncton office including one who speaks arabic and four counsellors in its Saint John office.
