A house in Upper Coverdale went up in flames yesterday morning but nobody was hurt.
A Riverview Mounty and an off-duty Moncton fire fighter were flagged down by a neighbour on Route 112 who spotted the fire. The two banged on doors and windows and then went in to see if anyone was home. They weren’t…the owner arrived a short time later.
First responders did rescue a pet python that had escaped its cage. The cause is under investigation.
