The measles outbreak continues to spread.
Health officials say there are now 13 confirmed cases in the province….including health-care workers who have caught the highly contagious disease.
Deputy chief medical officer of health Dr. Gaynor Watson-Creed says measures have been put in place to prevent the spread of it at their workplaces. All of those cases involve people who have been in the same location as someone who was infected with measles.
They say the risk of infection of others is low because of vaccinations…but measles can be serious for infants and people with weakened immune systems.
