There was a massive power outage that affected most of peninsular Halifax near the end of the rush hour yesterday.
There were more than 21,000 customers in the dark a little after 6:00pm. The lights came back on around 6:30. Crews say it was caused by a failed protective device at the Kempt Road substation.
