The government says it won’t budge on extending today’s deadline for residents wanting to appeal their property taxes.
Conservative Leader Blaine Higgs has questioned the government on the extra money the higher assessments will bring in. The government says 95% of assessments have been reduced, remained the same or were increased less than 10%…but apartment and campground owners, in particular, say they’ve been hit hard.
