The Sons of Membertou, a popular drumming and singing group; will be a key part of ceremonies in France marking the 100th anniversary of Vimmy Ridge.
Austin Christmas, the groups drum keeper; told the Cape Breton Post respect for elders and fallen warriors is an important part of who and what he is. Christmas and four other members of the group will supply the important symbolic heart-beat of “mother earth” at the ceremonies April 9th.
