Global affairs teaching in kindergarten

Young students at Moncton Christian Academy are getting involved in global affairs.

Students in Kindergaten to grade two are teaming up with students at a school in Brazil to work on real world problems.

MCA teacher Kimberley Jelley says the U-N created 17 “Global Goals” to tackle things such as extreme poverty, climate change, and giving all children the opportunity to quality education. Jelley and two other teachers, Natasha Kress and Angela Myers, connect with the school in Brazil via Skype of emails and exchange ideas and learn about other peoples’ perspectives.
