Riverview Councillor Cecile Cassista, is also executive director of the Coalition for Seniors and Nursing Home Residents’ Rights. She told Brunswick News she was deeply disappointed in the budget which promised more pilot projects and further study on mental health and seniors’ care. Cassista says they’ve gone through pilot projects already…they need to get to the meat and potatoes of it.
Finance Minister Cathy Rogers was happy with the budget saying it dovetails nicely with what the Gallant Government is trying to do.
