The government will implement all four recommendations from an expert panel set up to find new ways to help those in school with mental health issues or addictions.
The government is planning to beef up mental health supports offered to children and youth through school facilities. The province will invest 4.4-million dollars by 2019-20 in SchoolsPlus to add 51 new mental health clinicians, SchoolsPlus facilitators and community outreach workers in schools.
