59 year old Bertrand Veilleux has been sentenced to three years in prison for slashing the face of a female friend in Campbellton in May of last year.
The victim, Stephanie Bujold; and Veilleux had been fighting prior to the 4 a.m. incident.
She had left a note on the door telling that she didn’t want him to come in and to find somewhere else to go.
But he got into the house, so she grabbed a knife from the kitchen and told him to leave.
He got the knife from her, and as she tried to push him out of the house; he slashed her in the face from just below her left eye, almost to her mouth.
