Doctors working the Emergency Room at Northside General Hospital in North Sydney are looking at a possible pay cut. ER doctors in Nova Scotia have been tasked with standardizing the rates of pay for ER doctors province wide. At Northside, that means ER doctors would be paid 14-dollars less that than their current rate of just over $147 dollars per hour. ER Doctors at Cape Breton Regional receive roughly 200-dollars an hour based on the criteria that it’s a larger hospital that sees more patients.
