Sugarloaf Park is getting ready for this weekend’s Sled Dogs Snowskate competition.
Events start today, with the possibility of fireworks; and the races will take place on Saturday.
Snowskate competitions use modified boots with wide bottoms that are like skis but much shorter.
People will skate on the snow and ice at high speeds.
It is open to everyone at a cost of 25 dollars, which covers the boots needed and a ticket for the chair lift.
