Spike in suicides sparks concern

There’s been a spike in suicides in the greater Moncton area which is concerning to a retired psychologist.

The coroner’s office says 40 people died from suicide in this region last year. There were only 22 deaths a year earlier

Albert Cyr is chair of the mental health community advisory committee for Vitalit√© Health Network. Cyr told CBC this spike in suicides needs to be investigated asking if there’s a problem with people accessing services. Is there anything they’re not doing or should be doing?
