Agriculture Minister Rick Doucet is looking to grow the province’s maple syrup industry.
Doucet says the industry is already expanding and the government wants to help it grow even more, saying it’s a vital part of the government’s growth strategy. The government recently allotted another 4,400 hectares for sugar production. The industry employs about 2,300 workers.
