Education Minister Karen Casey denies there’s a no fail policy in the school system…called it a myth.
The minister pointed out 259 students failed last year from Primary to Grade 9. But that is a very small fraction of the 115,000 students in the province. The no fail policy was one of the items brought up by the teachers during the contract dispute.
