Organigram says it will vigorously defend itself against a class-action lawsuit. The medical marijuanna producer in Moncton is being sued by former customers who bought cannabis which contained pesticides.
Organigram issued a statement yesterday saying it has hired a lawfirm specializing in defence against class-action lawsuits, according to the Times and Transcript. It also says it has been in constant communication with its clients about the recall of the tainted product and most are accepting account credits for the bad product.
Halifax lawyer Ray Wagner, who launched the class-action, says his clients are not interested in account credits. They want cash refunds because they have no intention of going back to Organigram.
