A charge against a Cape Breton cop has been dismissed

A charge of uttering a threat against a police officer has been dismissed,   according to the Cape Breton Post.

41 year old Constable Wade Lavin of Howie Centre is still facing judgement however on other charges.  The judge will rule March 23rd on  identity theft, forgery and other counts.

Lavin, who is still under suspension, was charged after he sent emails to media outlets alleging a misuse of credit cards by senior management in the police department.  He also expressed concerns why 13 management personnel have assigned vehicles but rank and file officers sometimes have to scramble to find a car or have to use their own.
