The province has changed five geographic place names in Saint John and Grand Bay-Westfield as part of the Black History Compilation Project getting rid of the word negro.
It will now be Lorneville Head, Hodges Point in Saint John. Three names in Grand Bay/Westfield have also changed to Richards Lake, Corankapone Lake and Black Loyalist Brook.
