The Restigouche Regional Service Commission wants to promote winter tourism in the area.
Commission member Brad Mann, who is also president of the New Brunswick Federation of Snowmobile Clubs, told The Tribune that the area is losing “big” on winter tourism due to a lack of promotion.
In addition, the recent ice storm affected snowmobile trails in various areas.
The federation has set aside 60 thousand dollars in emergency cash to get the trails back open.
