Health officials across Canada are reminding people to make sure their vaccinations are up to date. That’s because of an outbreak of 7 cases of measles and three of mumps just since the beginning of the year in the Halifax area.
The medical health officer for the region says most of the patients had not been fully immunized. Most children receive the measles, mumps reubella vaccine when they are young…but people should get a booster shot in their twenties or early thirties.
